For a long time, I experienced bloating and digestive problems and I couldn’t figure out why. I would eat a few bites of a meal and become so bloated – it was like I had eaten the world! At this point in time there was very little information about the Low FODMAP diet out in the world. I was confused and frustrated when I couldn’t figure out how to get better.
It took me a long time (and a lot of Googling) to figure out that ingredients like onions and garlic (FODMAPs) were triggering all of my symptoms.
While it doesn’t seem like there is an actual cure for IBS and FODMAP issues, there is a lot you can do to help yourself feel better. Starting with an elimination diet to soothe your system and give you a starting point, then following up with a slow introduction of different foods. It can be a long journey but hopefully the posts here help you out!
